½teaspoon salt
½ teaspoonblack pepper
Instructions
Add butter to a deep skillet and turn heat to medium melt butter
Once butter has melted, you're going to make a simple roux by adding in the dry ingredients (flour, seasonings, salt, pepper), and whisking together. Let the flour cook with the melted butter, stirring often with a whisk or wooden spoon until it becomes clumpy.
Add milk, salt, and pepper to skillet and continue whisking or stirring until the clumps of flour and butter become smooth and the gravy begins to thicken. Add the milk in a little bit at a time, stirring continuously.
This process takes maybe 5-7 minutes on medium to medium-high heat. It will start to bubble up when it's close to done
Serve with fried chicken, country fried steak, mashed potatoes, flaky biscuits, or dip French fries in it! The possibilities are endless when you make this Easy Gluten Free White Country Gravy!
