Green Beans Almondine

Another Home Chef fave that I recreated!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • spray cooking oil avocado or olive
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

Herbed Ghee

  • 2 tbsp ghee you can subsitute butter
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Prepare herbed butter by combining all ingredients in a small mixing bowl, set aside
  • Wash and trim green beans, pat dry
  • Heat a large pan to medium-high heat and generously spray with oil
  • Add green beans to pan and stir to coat with oil
  • Allow to cook, stirring occasionally, for 2 minutes
  • Add 1/4 cup water and 1/4 tsp sea salt, cover, and allow to simmer for about 6 minutes, until green beans become tender and water has evaporated
  • Stir in almonds and herbed butter, allow to cook uncovered for 2 minutes on medium heat
  • Remove from heat and enjoy!
