Green Beans Almondine
Another Home Chef fave that I recreated!
Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh green beans
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- spray cooking oil avocado or olive
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
Herbed Ghee
- 2 tbsp ghee you can subsitute butter
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Prepare herbed butter by combining all ingredients in a small mixing bowl, set aside
- Wash and trim green beans, pat dry
- Heat a large pan to medium-high heat and generously spray with oil
- Add green beans to pan and stir to coat with oil
- Allow to cook, stirring occasionally, for 2 minutes
- Add 1/4 cup water and 1/4 tsp sea salt, cover, and allow to simmer for about 6 minutes, until green beans become tender and water has evaporated
- Stir in almonds and herbed butter, allow to cook uncovered for 2 minutes on medium heat
- Remove from heat and enjoy!
