The first time I had this no bake cookie dough dip, my sister had made it for a New Year’s celebration several years ago, but we never wrote down what was in it…we just kind of winged it! But now, I have written it down so I can share this edible cookie dough dip with all of you! Every time I make this recipe for people, they tell me it's the best cookie dough dip recipe they've ever had! So obviously it's what a choose to bring to most parties because it tastes great and it only takes a couple minutes to make.
CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE DOUGH DIP RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
This creamy cookie dough dip is made with a few simple ingredients and tastes like chocolate chip cookies in dip form.
cream cheese: the not so secret ingredient that makes this dip creamy and delicious
butter: I use salted butter. If you use unsalted butter, add a pinch of salt to the recipe. Either one work great in this recipe without altering the flavor of the dip
vanilla extract: pure vanilla extract makes this tip
light brown sugar: this ingredient is the start of the show, but if you want to make this a healthy cookie dough dip, coconut sugar is a great option
powdered sugar: powdered monk fruit sweetener is also an option if you're looking to make this dip a little healthier
mini chocolate chips: Enjoy Life mini semi-sweet chocolate chips are my favorite, but you can use dark chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, or your favorite type of chocolate chips for this recipe
You can make a vegan cookie dough dip by substituting vegan butter and vegan cream cheese. Enjoy Life chocolate chips are my favorite vegan friendly chocolate chips.
This delicious dip works great as an icing for cakes and cupcakes as well which makes it a diverse dessert dip recipe.
If you want to add your own spin to this gluten free chocolate chip cookie dough dip, add some finely chopped nuts or white chocolate chips.
DIRECTIONS:
Using a stand mixer or hand mixer, cream together the cream cheese and butter until smooth
Add vanilla and mix until combined
Add brown sugar and mix until combined
Using the lowest speed, slowly add in powdered sugar, ½ cup at a time until smooth
Add chocolate chips and stir until mixed
Serve with graham crackers, animal crackers, pretzels, strawberries. It’s a great dessert to bring to a potluck!

STORING LEFTOVERS:
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. To soften, let sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes to one hour.
CAN YOU MAKE THIS COOKIE DOUGH DIP AHEAD OF TIME?:
You can certainly make this ahead of time! I love making it the night before a party or get-together and then it softens in transit to wherever I’m going. If I’m serving it at home, I just let it sit on the counter for about an hour before everyone arrives and it softens right up! Just give it a stir to make sure it’s soft and creamy all the way through.
