Turkey Meatballs & Asparagus with Dijon Cream Sauce
This Dijon Cream Sauce tastes great on pasta and chicken as well! It's a low carb sauce staple you can whip up easily on a busy night!
Equipment
- Air fryer
Ingredients
For the Meatballs
- 1 pound lean ground turkey
- 1 tbsp dried parsley
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
For the Asparagus
- 1 pound asparagus
- salt and pepper to taste
- spray avocado oil
For the Dijon Cream Sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp dijon mustard
Instructions
For the Meatballs
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper
- Place all meatball ingredients in a large mixing bowl and stir until combined
- Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to scoop out mixture and roll into 1 inch balls (makes 16 balls)
- Place meatballs on prepared baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes
- Keep meatballs in oven and turn on broiler, broil for 3-5 minutes until meatballs begin to brown
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving
For the Asparagus
- Trim and wash asparagus
- Place clean asparagus in air fryer and spray with avocado oil
- Season generously with salt and pepper
- Cook at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes, until tender
For the Dijon Cream Sauce
- Add heavy cream to medium sauce pan and turn heat to medium
- Add in parmesan, garlic powder, and dijon mustard, and whisk together
- Whisk continuously for about 5 minutes until sauce begins to boil and thicken
- Top meatballs and asparagus with sauce and serve immediately!

- The Dijon Cream Sauce can be used as a pasta sauce or served over chicken and potatoes!
