These Greek Meatballs with Spinach and Feta are freaking delicious y’all! They are wonderful as an appetizer served with tzatziki sauce. They’re great with a side of white basmati rice. And they are absolutely delicious in a Mediterranean Bowl. Did I mention these meatballs are also gluten free, egg free, and low carb?! Even my picky toddler loves them, and I feel good about letting him eat them because I know they are made with healthier ingredients!

If you’re looking for something different to serve at your next get-together, these Greek Meatballs with Spinach and Feta are an excellent choice! They’re easy to make and they’re naturally gluten free, egg free, and low carb, so you can satisfy most appetites! 

The only shortcut I can think of for this recipe is to use a store-bought tzatziki sauce for dipping. If you prefer to make tzatziki sauce at home, this is a very easy Tzatziki Sauce Recipe. But in all seriousness, these Greek Meatballs with Spinach and Feta are very easy to make!

What you need to make Greek Meatballs with Spinach and Feta:

  • Ground beef: lean ground beef, ground turkey, and ground chicken all work well for this recipe
  • Spinach: you can use fresh or frozen. If using frozen, thaw and drain before adding to the meat
  • Crumbled feta
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Dried parsley: or fresh parsley, it’s up to you!

How to make Greek Meatballs with Spinach and Feta:

  1. Wilt spinach in a skillet with avocado or olive oil spray over medium heat. This should take about 3 minutes
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F
  3. Add ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, dried parsley, wilted spinach, and feta crumbles to a medium mixing bowl, and mix with clean hands to combine 
  4. Using a cookie scoop or your hands, pinch off about 1 inch of meat mixture and roll into a ball. Continue until all meat has been used. Makes about 16 meatballs
  5. Place meatballs on baking sheet lined with a baking rack or parchment paper
  6. Bake at 400° for about 20-25 minutes, until meatballs have cooked through and are no longer pink 
  7. Serve with tzatziki sauce and white basmati rice for a complete meal or add toothpicks to the meatballs and serve with tzatziki sauce for a fun and different appetizer!

Can you make these Greek Meatballs ahead of time?

You can make these meatballs ahead of time and reheat them in a microwave or 350° oven until warmed through (about 2-3 in the microwave or 10 minutes in the oven). 

Storing Leftovers:

These Greek Meatballs with Spinach and Feta can be frozen. Place them in a freezer-safe airtight container and freeze for up to 3 months. Place in fridge overnight to thaw and then reheat in a microwave or 350° oven until warmed through (about 2-3 in the microwave or 10 minutes in the oven).

Meatballs will keep in the fridge for up to 3 days.

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
