Sheet Pan Sausage, Peppers, and Onions

If you’re looking for a quick and easy dinner for weeknights, then give this sheet pan sausage, peppers, and onions recipe a try! It’s gluten free, low carb, and ready in less than 30 minutes.

If you’re like me, you don’t want to spend hours in your kitchen cooking and cleaning, especially on busy nights. Sheet pan dinners are great because they practically cook themselves, and cleanup is often a breeze. And with a few shortcuts, this sheet pan sausage, peppers, and onions recipe is ready in less than 30 minutes.

What ingredients you need to make this recipe:

    • Smoked sausage
    • Bell peppers
    • Onion
    • Spray avocado or olive oil
    • Salt and pepper

    Ingredient Shortcuts:

With a few shortcuts, you’ll be feeding your family in record time!

Smoked sausage: I always opt for uncured meats, but please use your favorite smoked sausage for this recipe. Choosing fully cooked sausage, kielbasa, or even chicken sausage will save you time on cooking

Bell peppers & onions: Most grocery stores sell peppers and onions already cut up and packaged together for convenient fajita dinners, but they work perfectly for this sheet pan sausage, peppers, and onions recipe as well. You can also find frozen bell peppers and onions together. Both cut out the prep involved with washing and slicing the veggies

Spray oil: If you don’t have spray avocado or olive oil, you can toss the veggies with a little liquid avocado or olive oil

How to make this sheet pan recipe:

    1. Preheat oven to 400°F
    2. Slice sausage into ½ inch pieces and place on half of a baking sheet
    3. Slice bell peppers and onion into thin strips and place on other half of baking sheet. Spray with avocado or olive oil and season with salt and pepper
    4. Bake at 400° for 20-25 minutes, until veggies are soft and sausage is warmed through
    5. Serve with white rice, cauliflower rice, or mac n cheese
