    Keto Cheeseburger Bites

    Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

If you’re looking for a fun appetizer to serve at your next party, these Keto Cheeseburger Bites are always a crowd-pleaser! They are easy to put together, and they taste delicious dipped in Thousand Island dressing or ketchup. You can melt the cheese or leave it cubed, and add your favorite burger toppings. And because these cheeseburger bites are cute and fun to eat, it’s a great weeknight meal to share with your kiddos!

Why does everything taste good when it’s served on a platter with toothpicks? There’s just something about finger foods that makes them fun to eat, and these Keto Cheeseburger Bites are no exception! They are gluten free, low carb, dairy free if you leave out the cheese, and people of all ages love them. My son can’t get enough of these “cute little cheeseburgers!”

You can use lean ground beef or ground turkey to make these Keto Cheeseburger Bites. Seasoning the meat with seasoned salt and pepper make them delicious on their own, but a dipping sauce is always great to have on the side.

These Keto Cheeseburger Bites can be made ahead of time. Add everything but the burgers to the toothpicks and place in your fridge. Refrigerate the cooked burgers as well, but keep them separate. Warm the burgers and add them to the toothpicks  just before serving.

If you try these Keto Cheeseburger Bites and love them as much as my family does, please let us know! Your feedback helps us create more of the recipes YOU want!

    Shortcuts for Keto Cheeseburger Bites:

I love taking shortcuts in the kitchen. Shortcuts help you create delicious meals in less time so you have more time to spend doing the things you love.

    • Burgers: For these Keto Cheeseburger Bites, you could easily use store-bought meatballs for the burger patties. This is a great time and money saver when making these bites for a large crowd. You can use the meatballs whole or cut them in half, but make sure you heat them according to the package directions.
    • Pickles: If you don’t want to take time to cut up pickles, you can easily use pickle chips
    • Lettuce: Grab a bag of pre-washed cut up Romaine lettuce and use the small pieces for these Keto Cheeseburger Bites
    • Tomatoes: Use grape tomatoes. You can cut them in half or leave them whole, the choice is yours!
    • Cheese: Get a bag of cheese cubes, any flavor, and use them on top of the burger patties. You can melt them or leave them cubed, it’s all about personal preference
    • Dipping Sauce: Squirt some ketchup in a small bowl or add some store-bought Thousand Island dressing to a bowl for dipping. If you want to make the dressing from scratch, I recommend this easy Thousand Island dressing recipe.

What you need to make Keto Cheeseburger Bites:

    • Ground Beef: or ground turkey or store-bought meatballs (check ingredient list for allergens)
    • Seasoned salt
    • Pepper
    • Pickles
    • Lettuce
    • Tomatoes
    • Cheese
    • Ketchup or Thousand Island dressing for dipping

How to make Keto Cheeseburger Bites:

    1. Preheat oven to 400°F
    2. Add 1 teaspoon seasoned salt and ¼ teaspoon pepper to a mixing bowl with ground beef and combine with a spoon or your hands. Using a cookie scoop or your hands, pinch off about 1 inch of meat and roll into a ball. Then flatten the ball between your hands and place on a baking sheet line with a baking rack (makes 14-16 tiny burgers)
    3. Bake burgers at 400° for 20-25 until no longer pink inside
    4. If you are choosing to melt the cheese, place one cheese cube on each burger, place back in the oven and bake until cheese has melted
    5. Allow burgers to cool for 5 minutes before assembling Keto Cheeseburger Bites
    6. Add cherry tomato, pickle chip, and lettuce to toothpick, leaving room for cheese and burger
    7. If not melting your cheese, add cheese cube to toothpick followed by burger patty
    8. If you melted the cheese, just add the burger patty to the bottom of the toothpick and arrange on a platter. Continue for the rest of the burgers
    9. Add dipping sauce to a bowl and serve!
    10. These can be made ahead of time. Add everything but the burgers to the toothpicks and place in your fridge. Refrigerate the cooked burgers as well, but keep them separate. Warm the burgers and add them to the toothpicks  just before serving.
    11. 1 pound of ground beef makes 14-16 burger bites
