    Green Beans Almondine {gluten free, low carb}

    Green Beans Almondine

    Ingredients
      

    • 1 pound fresh green beans
    • ¼ cup sliced almonds
    • spray cooking oil avocado or olive
    • ¼ cup water
    • ¼ teaspoon sea salt

    Herbed Ghee

    • 2 tablespoon ghee you can subsitute butter
    • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
    • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
    • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
    • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper

    Instructions
     

    • Prepare herbed butter by combining all ingredients in a small mixing bowl, set aside
    • Wash and trim green beans, pat dry
    • Heat a large pan to medium-high heat and generously spray with oil
    • Add green beans to pan and stir to coat with oil
    • Allow to cook, stirring occasionally, for 2 minutes
    • Add ¼ cup water and ¼ teaspoon sea salt, cover, and allow to simmer for about 6 minutes, until green beans become tender and water has evaporated
    • Stir in almonds and herbed butter, allow to cook uncovered for 2 minutes on medium heat
    • Remove from heat and enjoy!
