
Green Beans Almondine
Another Home Chef fave that I recreated!
Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh green beans
- ¼ cup sliced almonds
- spray cooking oil avocado or olive
- ¼ cup water
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt
Herbed Ghee
- 2 tablespoon ghee you can subsitute butter
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Prepare herbed butter by combining all ingredients in a small mixing bowl, set aside
- Wash and trim green beans, pat dry
- Heat a large pan to medium-high heat and generously spray with oil
- Add green beans to pan and stir to coat with oil
- Allow to cook, stirring occasionally, for 2 minutes
- Add ¼ cup water and ¼ teaspoon sea salt, cover, and allow to simmer for about 6 minutes, until green beans become tender and water has evaporated
- Stir in almonds and herbed butter, allow to cook uncovered for 2 minutes on medium heat
- Remove from heat and enjoy!
