Low Carb Key Lime Pie Smoothie

Finding low carb smoothie recipes that taste delicious and don’t contain any nut butters can be a challenge, but this Key Lime Pie Smoothie hits the spot every time! It tastes light and refreshing, but it’s loaded with healthy fats and protein.

A few notes about the ingredients:

You can use fresh or frozen avocado for this recipe. The frozen avocado will give a slightly different texture but still taste equally delicious. For lime juice, I highly recommend using a citrus squeezer to get as much juice out of the lime as you can. The lime is what gives this low carb key lime pie smoothie its key lime pie flavor.

The base of this smoothie is either lite coconut milk. You can use canned coconut milk or the kind that comes in a carton. If you don't like coconut milk, you can always substitute unsweetened almond milk or your favorite dairy free milk for this recipe.

To sweeten this low carb key lime pie smoothie, you can use maple syrup or stevia without altering the flavor too much. Honey is another option, but it will change the flavor.

If you’re looking to add protein to your smoothie, a serving of collagen peptides is perfect! Peptides are flavorless and can be used to add protein to just about any dish!
