    Low Carb Salmon Patties Recipe

    Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

Whether you’re keto or carb-cycling, this Low Carb Salmon Patties Recipe is sure to become one of your favorite weeknight meals! Seriously y’all, these salmon patties may be low in carbs, but they are packed with flavor! And without any breading, they are naturally gluten free too!

My hubby couldn’t stop raving about them the first time I made these salmon patties, so I knew I had to share them with all of you!

There are a couple of different ways you can go about making these salmon patties. One, you can use canned salmon. Just make sure you drain the liquid and check that there are no bones. Two, you can cook fresh salmon fillets, remove the skin, and then shred them with a fork. If you choose to cook fresh salmon fillets, make sure you follow the package instructions, or cook them in the air fryer at 370°F for 18 minutes.

This recipe makes 3 servings, but it can easily be doubled or tripled to feed your whole family. It’s one of my go-to lunches for healthy fats because it’s such an easy recipe to make.

What ingredients you need to make low carb salmon patties:

    • Cooked or canned salmon
    • Dijon mustard
    • Mayo
    • Egg
    • Salt
    • Black pepper
    • Dried dill
    • Chives (dried or fresh)
    • Minced onion (dried)
    • Avocado oil

How to make low carb salmon patties:

    1. Add all ingredients, EXCEPT avocado oil, to a large mixing bowl and stir to combine
    2. Scoop about ¼ cup of mixture and form into a patty. Continue for rest of mixture (makes about 6 patties) (Note: they will be very moist, but that's ok!)
    3. Add 2 tablespoons avocado oil or olive oil to a deep skillet and turn heat to medium
    4. Add patties to skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown
    5. Finish with a squeeze of lemon juice and a sprinkle of Old Bay Seasoning if you’d like, or serve them as is
    6. They pair well with coleslaw, green beans, and mashed potatoes
