Gluten Free Copycat KFC Famous Bowl
When you can’t eat gluten, you can’t just go to your local fast food restaurant and pick up an easy dinner, but you can make a copycat of a takeout favorite and make it gluten free! This gluten free copycat KFC Famous Bowl is ridiculously easy to make and gives you all of the same ooey-gooey goodness you’ve been craving!
I like to take shortcuts in my kitchen, and this recipe is no exception. To keep this recipe as simple as possible, we’ll use the microwave, air fryer (or oven if you don’t have one), and a few easy ingredients that don’t cost a fortune. With the rising cost of groceries, having an easy gluten free recipe to turn to that costs under $30 to feed 4 people is a blessing. This recipe also takes less than 30 minutes to make, so you’re not spending a lot of time cooking.

What ingredients you need to make Gluten Free Copycat KFC Famous Bowl:
- Bob Evan’s mashed potatoes (family sized)
- Frozen corn
- Gluten Free brown gravy mix (it comes in a packet)
- Gluten free chicken nuggets
- Shredded cheese
- Salt and pepper
How to make copycat KFC mashed potato bowl gluten free:
- Add chicken nuggets to air fryer and cook at 400°F for 5 minutes, shake, and cook another 5 minutes (or add chicken to baking sheet and bake in oven according to package directions)
- While chicken is cooking, microwave mashed potatoes according to package instructions
- Place frozen corn in microwave safe dish and heat for 2 minutes until warmed through
- Make gluten free brown gravy according to package directions
- Assemble your bowls by adding mashed potatoes to the bottom of bowl or plate, top with corn, then brown gravy, then top with cut up chicken nuggets, season with salt and pepper to taste, and sprinkle with shredded cheese
- Serve immediately. Makes 4 servings
If you don’t want to use store-bought mashed potatoes, you can always make your own! This recipe is easy and delicious!
